Where's the Church?

"Judge orders new vote on firing pastor" (AP story from Marion, Indiana)


Our apparent lack of enough humility to simply be the obvious, harmonious 'Church' that Jesus calls us to be in a given location, leaves these sorts of things in the hands of the civil courts... exactly what the Apostle Paul decried.

Imagine if there really were a well connected network of Bible-believing churches, pastors and other spiritually-gifted, qualified leaders... working together in some practical ways in a given city...

...Could we someday see a local ethics advisory council within the Church to help preclude such issues from going to a secular court?
