30 Minutes with Jim Weidmann and...
I'm blogging this from the Indiana State Library, Author's Room, (wireless, of course), among a significant collection of urban-driven pastors & innovative leaders here in Indianapolis. This morning's brunch is co-hosted by National Day of Prayer - Indiana and Crossroads Bible College. We were warmly greeted by Paula Parker-Sawyers who shared some primary objectives of the Governor's new Office for Faith-based & Community Initiatives.
The morning's featured speaker is Jim Weidmann, NDP's Vice Chairman, Focus on the Family's Executive Cabinet member, author, and featured radio host of "Family Night Guy".
Jim Weidmann, NDP
It didn't take Jim long to get to the point -- prayer. He cited a recent Barna Research report that only 3% of pastors cited prayer as one of their top priorities for 2005.
Nor did it take long for these gathered pastors to start praying together. In English. In Spanish. Black. White. Hispanic. All for the glory of our great God, and in the name of His self-sacrificing Son, Jesus.
You can become part of the National Day of Prayer network here in Indiana, by connecting with NDP-IN.org. And then mark your calendar for May 5th -- this year's NDP. And then 10days later, to be a part of the Global Day of Prayer.
