Faith Leaders Round-table Discussion...

Round-Table Discussions For Faith Leaders
Will Focus on Firearm Violence and Suicide Prevention.



Please join expert facilitators and other faith leaders on Tuesday, May 31 at Christian Theological Seminary for round-table discussions related to suicide and firearm violence.

Discussion topics include: mental illness and the link to suicide, theological perspectives on suicide, issues for survivors of suicide, gang violence, crisis intervention information, and adolescent issues associated with suicide.

The round-table discussions are designed to provide experts in the topic areas to facilitate group discussions and interaction. Faith leaders, both clergy and lay, of all faith traditions will have the opportunity to attend three different round-table discussions.

The meeting begins at 8:30 am and adjourns at 2:30 pm. Dr. Kenneth Ackles, Sr., Marion County Coroner and John Linehan, Chief Deputy Coroner of Marion County will present the morning keynote address. Afternoon Keynote and a hot lunch will be served and the meeting and lunch is free of charge; however registration is required.

CEU contact hours will be provided for $5 for those who are interested in obtaining them.
