Finding Rides

Because most of the youth in our Youth Group cannot drive, they rely on others (usually parents) to drive them to events.

But most of the youth live relatively close to each other.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a map which dynamically displayed where their Youth Group members lived so that they could carpool?

Carpooling would reduce stress on parents and creation.

Enter Google Maps.

Even with no technical knowledge, groups can create their own maps which display where their members live. For a list of such sites, please see Google Maps Mania and scroll to where it says, "Google Maps Creation Tools/How-Tos:" in the right-hand column.

I'll report next month on how we used this in our group.
