Gay rights proposal to include penalties
"Although some Indiana cities have ordinances protecting gays from discrimination, a similar ordinance under debate in Indianapolis features one key difference: sanctions. If a review board determines there has been discrimination, for example, an Indianapolis employer could end up in court, be ordered to pay legal costs and other expenses, or even lose its license under the proposal being considered.""Ezell Wiggins, the campus minister at Crossroads Bible College, has joined with a group of black pastors who fear the proposal is simply an incremental step in having same-sex marriages approved here, rather than a fight to protect against job and housing discrimination."
