IUPUI is hosting a Darwin’s Day Conference on March 4, 2006. The conference is free for students and teachers. For individuals who do not fall into either of these categories the cost is 30.00 dollars. They also suggest that you prepay for a 8.00 dollar lunch as there are no eateries close by and the program schedule will be full. I believe this will be a great opportunity for us to hear from some of the best proponents of evolution in order to better equip our students against one of the most unscientific ideas being promoted by colleges and universities today.
The conference will address issues like:
The Evolution Intelligent Design debate
The scientific method and critical thinking
The history of the evolution controversy
The evidence for evolution
There will also be a two hour debate between Scott Hartman and Roddy Bullock concerning the issue of evolution and intelligent design. Seating is limited so I suggest that you send in your conformation form and your 8.00 dollars for the lunch ASAP. Download a copy of the conformation form, duplicate as many as you please to pass out to teachers & students.
This conference can create lively conversations on our campuses and further strengthen our commitment to a literal six-day creation as stated in the book of Genesis.
