Healing Streams...

Leaders of a Northwestside church plan to use a recent gift to expand their mission.

The 400-member Healing Streams Word & Worship Center, a 21/2-year-old nondenominational church, will celebrate its acquisition of The Kingdom Center during three weekend services. The center is housed in the former Loews Theatre building near the Lafayette Square Mall.

Job readiness skills and economic development will be added to the more traditional aspects of the church, said the Rev. A. Thomas Hill, senior pastor of Healing Streams Word & Worship Center...
