[Excellent article by James Patterson, Indiana Christian News]At least one Indianapolis church is putting into practice a belief that the key to winning souls involves putting as much emphasis on meeting their physical needs as spiritual. Body of Christ Community Church on the city’s Northside recently bought and began renovating a building at 1919 E. 52nd Street.

It’s a non-denominational reformed church. By design, the congregation has been interracial from its beginning in 1999. Three organizations under the church’s purview all operate under one roof. This includes the congregation, whose pastor is Rev. Andrew Hunt III; Community of One Community Development Corporation, a non-profit, faith-based program; and an a racial reconciliation and spiritual retreat ministry called New Hope Great Banquet.
