2006 FHL Week Stories & Testimonials
“While we were washing cars one lady asked how much it was, and once we told her it was free and we’re trying to show God’s love in a practical way, she started crying.”
“To tell you the truth, I was hesitant to come, but I am so glad I did. I had the best time. I felt very welcomed and included. Thank you for this great opportunity.”
“It was eye-opening to see people’s needs. I learned a lot from Mary, listening to her witness to people. I LOVE seeing different churches unified in one effort. There was no sense of ‘territory’ – just loving people and showing them Jesus.”
“It’s been an awesome week! I’ll miss it. Have FUN and be a Jesus Freak!”
“On the way home a car had run out of gas right in front of our van. Several guys got out of the van and pushed the young lady into the gas station. We prayed with her and then the van left. I stayed behing and talked to the girl for awhile. I found out that she didn't have any money for gas so I filled up her tank for her. I also was able to connect with her because she was a teen mom just trying to make it. For those of you who dont know I was pregnant at 16. God really just let me minister to her for awhile. It is amazing to me how he sets up all these little divine appointments. I gave her FREE tickets to the festival and game on saturday. Please pray that she comes out.”
At the end of the night we had prayer in the choir room. One of the gentlemen who had volunteered to work that night ended up getting saved during our prayer time. He said he was so touched by how nice everyone was that he wanted what we have. Wow!!! He has been here helping each night since with a smile on his face and FULL of Joy!!!
