Allen joins Charter One staff

Emerson Allen joins Charter One Mortgage

RICHMOND, VA. – Emerson Allen of Indianapolis has joined Charter One Mortgage, a full-service residential mortgage lender, as a Community Lending Officer. Charter One Mortgage is a trade name for CCO Mortgage Corp.

For the last six years, Allen served as the Indianapolis Mayor’s Neighborhood Faith-Based Liaison. Previously, he worked in mortgage originations and real estate sales for a total of 10 years.

Allen’s role at Charter One Mortgage is to educate prospective homeowners about the benefits of homeownership and to help them overcome any obstacles to homeownership they might face. He offers a wide range of home financing programs.

Allen is a member of the Indiana State Suicide Prevention Coalition, the Wayne Township Fire Department Merit Board and the Wayne Township Education Foundation Board. He is also host of the Indianapolis school and community radio talk show “School Talk” on WBDG Giant 90.9 FM. He is a deacon at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Allen attended Indiana State University. He and his wife, Mary, have four daughters and five grandchildren.
