Faith, Hope and Love Community Prayer Walk 2006

The Faith, Hope and Love Community Prayer Walk is to usher in God’s Presence into metropolitan Indianapolis. Only the Lord knows exactly the plan He has for this historic event on July 23, 2006. The FHL local community missionaries will wear their official FHL t-shirts as they show the community the love of God.



These prayer team leaders will gather at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis at 1:30 p.m. for corporate prayer. They will then proceed to the four corners of the Circle. The North team will meet at the corner of N Meridian and New York St and pray at the War Memorial; the East team will meet at the corner of E Market and S Delaware St and pray for Conseco Fieldhouse; the West team will meet at the corner of W Market and Capitol and will pray for the State Capitol building; and the South team will meet at the corner of S Meridian and Maryland and will pray for Eli Lilly & Company and other businesses along South Meridian.



At 2:30 p.m., the Prayer Team leaders of each group will organize, register and coordinate the teams two blocks from the Circle for group prayer in the north, south, west and east corners. Instructions and prayer guidelines will be distributed at this time. The walk will officially begin at 3 p.m. by the sounding of the Shofar, a Jewish horn used symbolically in Biblical times. All groups will start walking directly toward the Circle.



Walkers will then walk toward the downtown Monument, the center of downtown Indianapolis, and then walk seven times quietly around the Monument starting at the south side of the Monument. Once everyone has finished their seven rotations, instruments will sound in celebration as we “Make a Joyful Noise!”

A prayer Rally will be held after the Prayer Walk with six leaders praying for specific areas related to Faith, Hope and Love Week. The leaders will be pray briefly for 5 minutes each.
