'Indy Timeline' of Upcoming Events Indy hosts Church of God 71st General Assembly
Indianapolis welcomes the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) 71st International General Assembly this week. Visit their site for ongoing details.
They also come bearing gifts... WATER... lots of water... for all our "Faith, Hope & Love" events this week.
And importantly... they bring PRAYER... for Indianapolis.
So we're thankful for our brothers & sisters from all over the world coming to Indy in this special week. Praise God. And 'Welcome'.
One of those brothers is well known to some of us involved in the 'cityreaching' movement... Doug Small.
Doug serves as president of Alive Ministries, and as director of Project Pray... leading prayer summits across the country. [Earlier this year, Doug led a youth prayer event here, bringing a number of youth to Indianapolis for the weekend to pray for our city & state.] He also serves as a State Prayer Leader for South Carolina, for the national Governors Prayer Team. In addition, Doug serves as a member of the City-Impact Roundtable, a division of Mission America and as a member of the National Prayer Committee.
Doug's book, "Transforming Your Church Into A House of Prayer" is now available. The book is full of practical ideas for enriching the prayer ministry of a local congregation. But it is more than an idea book. It is a challenge to bring prayer to the center of all the church does. To not create a prayer ministry, but to make every ministry a praying ministry!
