Washington State Supreme Court upholds gay marriage ban
SEATTLE (Reuters) - Washington state's highest court upheld a ban on same-sex marriage on Wednesday, ruling by a 5-4 majority that the legislature had the power to limit marriage to one man and one woman. [continued at ABC News]**************************

"Big Day in a Long Fight Over Same-sex Marriage"
In 2004, as gay couples in New York and California grabbed fleeting opportunities to marry, Hutcherson stood by, watching with a grimace. But when commissioners in Portland jumped on the bandwagon, he could hold back no longer.
The Antioch Bible Church pastor -- a former pro football player with a combative spirit -- has since gained national notice for rallying supporters against gay marriage. His Mayday for Marriage gatherings in Seattle and Washington, D.C., drew a combined 120,000 people. Later, Hutcherson testified in Olympia against including sexual orientation in anti-discrimination laws, and threatened to boycott Microsoft and other corporations for endorsing such statutes.

How can Christains call themselves compassionate indivudauls when you refuse to let other people to live free and happy lives? You slam them down and oppress thier freedom to choose. I remember the words, Life, Liberty And the pursuit of Happiness. By denying these people thier basic freedom to choose and to live a happy life, you earn yourselfs no respect, and worse, you become no better than an oppressive, burdeonsome group that is no better than the KKK or the American Fasict party.
