'1000 Mentors'
Wanted -- Mentors: Caring Adults willing to spend one hour a week investing in the life of a sixth grader at Crispus Attucks for the full 2006-2007 school year (starting ~Oct 2006).
Wanted -- Mentor Supervisors: Leaders who can build and motivate a team from members of their congregation.
The Need
The downtown Indianapolis sixth graders at Crispus Attucks are at a challenging and important stage in their development, transitioning into a secondary school environment. Great things are happening at Crispus Attucks, led by Principal Robert Faulkens, and you can help.
Who We Are
1000 Mentors is a partnership between the faith community, mentoring-focused non-profits, and the faculty & staff of schools. We believe that the primary keys to a successful mentoring program are
- One-on-one mentoring relationships
- Using passionate mentors committed to loving & serving
- Those mentors formed into teams
- Strong leaders supervising those teamsUsing the expertise & support of mentoring-
- Using the expertise and support of mentoring-focused non-profits
