His way is perfect!

Psalms 18:30-33 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. 31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God? 32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

God’s way is PERFECT! Why? God is perfect! So often, when we want to do what we want and not what God wants – we lose sight of what Psalm 18 reminds us of -- the fact that God’s way is perfect and ours is imperfect.

The question we should be asking ourselves is: “What do I want for my life, perfect or imperfect”? God is content to allow us to make our own decision (that’s grace!) – He gives us free-will so that we can show Him our love out of perfect obedience. Do we love God? Do we understand that He created us, that He cares for us and He wants to make our ways perfect (if we’ll let Him)?

Psalm 18:30 tells us that He is the buckler (shield or defense) to ALL those who trust Him. Do we trust God to make the “right” decisions for our lives? Or do we always think God is out to spoil our fun? God never changes...He’s the same yesterday, today and forever...He ALWAYS wants what is best for our lives as it fits into the greater plan for eternity.

When we DO choose to follow God’s way, when we DO choose to trust God with our lives and more importantly: with our hearts, then Psalm 18:33 tells us we will have the best He has to offer for each one of us (this isn’t talking about being rich or materially wealthy, rather treasures in Heaven & spiritual blessings here on earth).

Ultimately, the choice to follow God comes from faith, trust and love. Do we love God enough to trust Him and have faith in His choices for our lives?

Pray with me that God increases our faith that we might lay all of our lives down before Him...
