In John chapter 17 we see and hear Jesus praying. Technically we should probably call this the Lord's prayer, however this prayer can be broke down in three sections. The first part Jesus is praying for himself, the second part he is praying for his disciples, and the third he's praying for us. Starting at verse 20 Jesus says, "I do not pray for these alone but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they all may be one, as you father, are in me and I in you; that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me."
Could it be that people do not realize the father has sent the son, is due to the fact that the church is not one. Until we come to the unity of faith, don't expect to see revival. One of the major issues of unity, is racism in the church. If the church can't worship as one, don't expect the world to come knocking at our doors. We at the Blended Church are shouting from the rooftops,NO MORE RACISM IN THE CHURCH. NO MORE BLACK CHURCH,NO MORE WHITE CHURCH,NO MORE SPANISH CHURCH!!
In Christ we are one!
