Commentary: Morman for President?

Commentary:

Mitt Romney is in town today. **yawn**

Some family-values voters say Mitt's the best available choice if you're a Republican.

Here, I guess, is one point upon which Christians will disagree for sure. I for one.

Considering the president's unpopular path (right or wrong) toward escalating the war in Iraq, the 2008 elections might already be virtually conceded by Republicans.

Christians are already divided on 'just war' and immigration issues, not to mention compassion issues like poverty, crime and education which have taken a budgetary backseat during our war on terrorism.

[Btw, I'm glad we're being called to carefully consider 'WWJD' in the public square, as we wrestle with such important issues of our day.]

Seems like bad timing to ask Christ-followers to legitimize a candidate with a background held by historic Christianity to be heretical.

Unless, of course, you're setting him up to take the fall?
