Prophetic Prayer
Praise the Lord!I am not sure if you guys are keeping up with the 40-day prayer. Today's prayer is a prophetic one. Here's a testimonial to it.
Last Sunday, the Lord told me to pray for my Senior Pastor that God's message through him will communicate clearly to the people and that they will take action based on the message. Half way in his message, the Holy Spirit came on me and I could not stop weeping. The verses of his sermon was taken from Acts 9-the conversion of Paul and the assignment of Ananias. Verses 10-18, 10In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered.
11The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."
13"Lord," Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem. 14And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name."
15But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. 16I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."
17Then Ananias went to the hous
e and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19and after taking some food, he regained his strength.
In past several weeks, I have been carrying too much load regarding the preparation of FHL week. I was telling the Lord lately that the load is too much. Then in the sermon, I heard the word, "GO"! God did not explain anything to Ananias but He answered with a command. At that point of the message last Sunday, I started weeping and could not move from my seat. Tears continued to flow on my cheeks, non-stop.
I was prayed for by several prayer warrior in my church after the service. At the end of the prayer, the message was to take a day or two off and just listen to the Lord. My wife Annie tried to get me a cottage for Monday night but the only available is Tuesday. So this morning, I will be going for a day in nature outside Indy.
Please read the devotion today. At times, God will call you to do things that is way more than you could think of; He would not give you an explanation but He will just tell you to "Go". Obey Him; He's up to something. Only then will you get the answer.
God is a faithful & loving God who hears us and loves us unconditionally.
