Live Blogging from CCDA St. Louis 2007
Stay tuned for more live-blogging this week from CCDA 2007...Here are some photos from St. Louis this morning, as we walked across the street to 'The Arch'.
CCDA Conference hotel is at right.
We then made our way up to the old court-house which started the infamous 'Dred Scott Case'. Ironically, the Dred Scott Decision 1857 by the Supreme Court effectively let stand that slavery was constitutional. However making something 'legal' does not at all make it 'right'. Thus rather than this ruling actually settling the question, it in fact evoked the political forces of outrage... leading to Lincoln's election, the onset of the Civil War and the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery.
Now 150 years later, the Christian Community Development Association is convening this week next door to the old courthouse... intent on prospering multicultural ministry in the name of Christ, neighborhood by neighborhood, asking the question, 'how can we the Church in our city better glorify God, by truly loving our neighbors as ourselves'?
Should be interesting... stay tuned this week here at IndyChristian.com.

hmm... its weird to be gathering blog posts about a conference we're all currently attending, and yet not actually meeting each other... or maybe some of us have - who knows?! We should organize some sort of impromptu blogger meet-up... put names with faces. Though, most of my blogging will occur once I get home and can use my regular laptop/download photos/etc.
