Russ will be long remembered. He will not be forgotten by those he befriended and served. The impact his ministry had, and the lives he helped to transform will be felt into the next generations. I can only imagine that as he entered heaven he was greeted by Jesus with a "Well done thy good and faithful servant. Welcome home!"
While you are missed here on earth, the heavens rejoice!

Thanks Russ for giving us a visible example for so long of what a Christian man looks like as he lives life here on earth.

You showed us by example how to live as men of honor and duty, yet living life with a joy that can only be lived by men who are both politically and spiritually free.

Your life was a fresh alternative to the distorted images of men that are so often portrayed in most media.

You truly were from the "Greatest Generation". Just as Christ our brother came and spoke the truth, to call to himself the 1st of many brothers, we all are now that much more obligated and accountable for how we live the rest of our lives because of who you were and how you lived your life before us.

And now that you've completed your earthly journey and have been welcomed home with rejoicing to your heavenly reward(s), and as you have so often have prayed at each of your sermons, "May the (rest) of our words and meditation of our hearts be found holy and pleasing in our Heavenly Father's sight, A-men."
