Churches grapple with new attitudes

On this Easter Sunday, when many who normally avoid church may feel compelled to make an appearance, churches are adding worship services and special programs to accommodate the surge.

But there is mounting evidence that they have a bigger challenge in front of them: reaching out to a world that is increasingly willing to stay home.
