What appeared to be an auto accident on the city's Eastside turned out to be another homicide involving 22 year old Jorge Matias-Sanchez. When emergency responders were called to the crash site of a 1989 blue Chevy Caprice near 34th & Arlington, it was determined that young Jorge had been shot in the head and declared dead at the scene.
The Indy News report stated, "Emergency personnel thought it was just a wreck, but when they got him out, they realized he'd been shot."
The reality was, IT WAS A WRECK! Another wreck of the life of our young men, their families, and our city.
Join us this Saturday as we declare Peace in the Streets, Safety for our Families, Life over Death, all in the Name of Jesus Christ who came to give us Life in abundance!
Prayer Vigil scheduled Saturday, February 28, 2009
"A
centralized media site for Greater Indianapolis Christians. We connect & communicate among 'Driven-Christians in the Racing Capital of
the World' to accelerate the Great Commission!"
"If
you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from
his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one
in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but
in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not
only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus..." (Philippians
