Ex-NFL coach's quiet honor Thank you so much for the article on Tony Dungy. I have long been an admirer of his, and I don't even like football. He is an inspiration ("After the NFL, Dungy is still coaching," Cover story, News, Monday).

In an era when Christians often make headlines only for negative things, it is so refreshing to read of the quiet honor and strength of a man like Dungy who represents what Christianity is truly about: recognizing that we all fall short of Jesus' perfect example and loving other sinners into the kingdom.

In times like these, it is encouraging to be reminded that there are men like Dungy out there eschewing monetary gain for something priceless: the soul(s) of this nation.
