[from Heavy Duty Trucking magazine... re our friend, Bill Hutson, Greencastle IN]
"When I was a kid, my mom was a cook in nursing homes," said Bill Hutson, a truck driver for Showtime Concession Supply out of Moore, Okla. Hutson spent his childhood hanging around the elderly, as his mother cooked for them, and that's how he developed a passion for the older generation. Meanwhile, his father built his own airplane while he was growing up, and he taught Hutson how to fix anything.
When he was 15 years old, Hutson landed a construction job, remodeling restaurants and gas stations. After the owner would set up a crew at a job site, he would take Hutson and go work on a home for someone who couldn't afford to pay for it. One day, Hutson asked his boss why he helped these people, and he answered, "To the world, you may be just one person. But to one person, you just may be the world."
This is the motto of the non-profit organization Hutson founded in December 2002, Table Talk Ministries. When Hutson is not driving for Showtime four days a week, he's repairing the homes of the elderly, disabled and poor, free of charge. Hutson said his passion for the elderly and his ability to fix anything inspired him to establish Table Talk Ministries...
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
"At this my heart pounds and leaps from its place. Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth. He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth. After that comes the sound of his roar; he thunders with his majestic voice. When his voice resounds, he holds nothing back. God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-- kept in heaven for you,
"It is with a mixed emotions of joy and sorrow that I write this message, Scott Bateson Graduated this morning around 7:45am from this earthly brain cancer ridden thirty-something year old body into a heavenly perfect in every way body. He is now enjoying the arms of our Lord. He leaves behind his teenage son Luke and the love of his life Audrey in the care of the saints of God, the body of Christ, Our Church.
Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious! Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name." Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.
Former U.S. Sen. and Ambassador Dan Coats and Mayor Greg Ballard to Attend 2010 National Day of Prayer at City Market May 6.
INDIANAPOLIS - Former U.S. Sen and Ambassador Dan Coats, who won the Republican primary election Tuesday, and Mayor Greg Ballard will be part of the Indianapolis City-County Council Prayer Caucus’ “A Prayer for Such a Time as This” at The Indianapolis City Market.
Religious leaders from all over the city will be a part of the “National Day of Prayer.” The event is from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. May 6 at the City Market Plaza, 222 East Market St., Indianapolis.
There will be music from three separate groups (traditional, gospel, and contemporary); and several prayers from the religious leaders.
Prayer topics, The Lord’s Prayer and the National Anthem will also take place.
Neighborhood leaders are invited and there are several different denominations involved.
Indianapolis City- County Councilor Jeff Cardwell founder and member of the City-County Council Prayer Caucus, said prayer is more important than ever.
“We realize the need to call America and the City of Indianapolis back to prayer – not prayer for a single day or a single month but prayer without ceasing,” Cardwell said. “This is a great event that will really bring people together in a positive way.”
Curt Smith, president of the Indiana Family Institute and Chair of the Indianapolis portion of the National Day of Prayer, said, “The National Day of Prayer is a vital part of our heritage. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continue through our history, including Lincoln’s proclamation of a day of ‘humiliation, fasting, and prayer’ in 1883.”
The National Day of Prayer’s mission is to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, mobilizing the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church and Family.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting the people of all faiths to pray for the nation.
In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress, signed by President Truman, declared an annual national day of prayer. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. Each year, the president signs a proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day. In 2008, all 50 state governors plus the governors of several U.S. territories signed similar proclamations.
The ceremony will open at noon with the posting of the colors, and then the blowing of the Shofar, which is a Ram’s horn, used for Jewish religious ceremonies. The first prayer will be in Hebrew (for the peace of Jerusalem).Evan Tanner will kick off the ceremony.
Prayer leaders include:
* Mayor Greg Ballard, who will pray for Indianapolis * Former U.S. Sen. and Ambassador Dan Coats * Senior Pastor David W. Greene, Sr., who will pray for diversity * Christine Scales, City-County Council, who will pray for the council * Del Bock, who will pray for business * Bill Jenkins, who will pray for faith community * Ed Garcia, who will pray for the Hispanic Community * Brig.General Bryan Hult, who will pray for the military * Ray Hashley, manager of Moody radio, who will pray for the media * Sheri El, director of Benevolence, Traders Point Christian Church, who will pray for the homeless * Charles Simmons, pastor of Berean Bible Church, who will pray for freedom * Terry Dove, authentication deputy, at the Indiana Secretary of State and candidate for Center Township Trustee, who will pray for families. * Sister Marlene Shapley of St. Francis Hospitals & Health Centers will pray for those serving the Medical Profession and the sick.
Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

According to Zig Ziglar: “regular worship service attendance reduces suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, crime, out-of-wedlock births, divorce . . . [congregants] are happier and healthier, have a lower rate of depression, higher self esteem, have longer and happier marriages, increased net income” and . . . something I'm not comfortable putting up on internet . . .
After stating this, Ziglar always says, “that’s a pretty good deal!” Wow! Isn’t it?
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ
The Lord has planted 3 farms this year alone: Garden of Faith, Garden of Hope and the newest one is Garden of Love in Greenwood, IN. Wili de la Rosa, FHL Refugees and Farm Coordinator, is seen here as he divides the land for farmers from different ethnic groups.
Glory to God! He is blessing our FHL Farm ministry greatly. Last week, we had a breakthrough for our Hispanic community. This weekend, we started to plant on over 10 acres of land. We were blessed with over 50 adult volunteers from Burma (China). Others volunteers will start planting next week out of many cultures God has brought together: Hispanics, Asians, Iraquis and Ethiopians.
Thursday, back in the city, we had a great East-side/Urban FHL Week 2010 launching meeting.
It's harvest time! God's wave is here...be ready for more.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

"If
you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from
his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one
in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but
in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not
only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus..." (Philippians
