But what does a socially responsible young adult do about family? Should a couple have children? If so, how many? Is a large family a curse on the planet or a blessing? As Psalm 127 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!"

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Do you not know, brothers-- for I am speaking to men who know the law-- that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives? For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man.

Miracles still happen--vision for orphanage on Indy West Side
Dear Servant of Christ,
God put it on our hearts to start a Christian orphanage/foster home for kids (that we affectionately call The Lodge) on the west side of Indianapolis. We have grant writers, social workers, volunteers, construction companies, attorneys, etc. starting to line up behind this amazing thing that God is doing!
We met with the master builder on a Wednesday and asked him what it would take for him to understand that God is moving in miraculous ways, not just luck or coincidences, but miracles. We specifically asked him, “Mike, what do you need to see so that you will surrender to God on this project and do it His way and drop all of our silly logic?” He said he would need to see property in hand and $250,000 in the bank. That was Wednesday, and by that Saturday we were offered 22 acres of land that has already been zoned for an orphanage and counseling center in which to build on. You tell us…is God in this?
We now understand that God wants to raise the $250,000 in one day, one 24 hour period: Saturday the 14th at 5pm to Sunday the 15th at 5pm. Will you help us somehow? Will you be a part of the miracle that God wants to deliver? See the video below:

Wednesday, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard honored the recipients of this year's Community Service Awards. 19 residents were honored for their volunteer commitment and contributions.
The event was hosted downtown on the canal at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.
A brick will be engraved with each recipient’s name and placed at the Mayor's Volunteer Plaza at the 11th Street Admiral Spruance basin on the Canal.
The mayor invited the recipients to the skybox for Sunday's game, as this season's undefeated Colts host the Houston Texans. Deputy-mayor Olgen Williams quipped that he would gladly stand-in for recipient Pastor Roosevelt Sanders who wouldn't be done preaching by the game's 1 p.m. start-time.
Among the recipients, Sister Elease Womack was honored for her service in the heart of the city at the Unleavened Bread Cafe.
Also a recipient, Faith Hope & Love volunteer Wilfredo 'Willy' de la Rosa was honored for his FHL involvement among multiethnic refugee groups now living in Greater Indianapolis.
