Last week while "Faith Hope & Love Week" was going on in Indy, a thousand miles away, this group of Indiana Christians was 'playing'... down in Katrina country. Too funny not to share.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 NIV
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve." Jeremiah 17:9-10 NIV
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:14-16 NIV
Our prayer focus for Faith, Hope and Love Week is taken from Isaiah 61:1-2:
July 28, 2007 “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim freedom for the captives, And release from the darkness for the prisoners. To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
It is with a heart of worship that we come before You today, Father. We don’t want to regard today merely as the end of a week of ministry but as the beginning of a year of Your favor and blessing.

May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."
People from all denominations of faith have worked together this week to reach out to their neighbors -- including a Northside church food pantry.
Volunteers participating in "Faith, Hope and Love Week" gathered enough food to feed the line of people Tuesday that reached from the doors of First Baptist Church of Indianapolis to the parking lot.
The food pantry is just one part of Faith, Hope and Love, an effort that included many churches and different denominations. In its third year, volunteers take a week to do local mission work around the Indianapolis area.
"I'm excited about this kind of week because it can encourage churches to work together,"
Saturday, July 28, 2007 3PM You're invited to join thousands of people in celebrating the FHL Festival
FHL Week is coming to an end and I would like to invite you to celebrate with us. I would LOVE to see you at the Monument Circle for a great free concert which includes the four finalists of the FHL 2007 Songwriter's Invitational and Samuel Hernandez, Latino GRAMMY AND BILLBOARD NOMINEE. There will be food vendors and lots fun!
Thousands of man hours had been invested back in the metropolitan Indy during the FHL Week. More than 200 projects and services were performed but most especially are the relationships that were renewed and the newly forming relationships towards God and others. The networks are ever expanding. There is no telling how much impact we will all see in the days to come because of the connections and the opportunities to work together as one community. FHL Week is not just a week event; it’s a lifestyle of faith, hope and love.
2007 is the year of LOVE and boy did we experience it! Next year is the Year of Faith.
On behalf of the entire FHL family, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all of you who believe in the vision of unity and the unconditional love towards God and others! See you at the festival!
PS. Mark your calendar, Saturday, Sept. 15 is the FHL Reunion. If you were not able to participate this year and would like to know more about the Faith, Hope and Love and the FHL 2008, July 20-26, please plan to come as well!

July 27, 2007 “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim freedom for the captives, And release from the darkness for the prisoners.”
Father, we were all prisoners stumbling in the darkness until You brought us into Your light through Jesus. We cry out for the release of every soul chained in bondage. Today, we ask that every kind of prison door will swing open and captives walk free.

[Excerpts from Ed Stetzer's new Lifeway Research blog...]
On Blogging... "I am not very good at it. As a matter of fact, I think I may be the worst blogger ever. But, today, I am turning over a new leaf."
"This blog will be a mixture of several things. We will look at research and discuss it here. In just a couple of weeks we will release some groundbreaking research on the dropout rate for the transition years from high school to college. Several guest bloggers will both write and interact here. Whenever we release research, this will be the official forum for interacting with us. You can post questions, question our assumptions, or say we are the smartest people ever for doing the project (thanks, mom, for dropping by)."

July 25, 2007 “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,”
Who are the brokenhearted? A single mom holding an eviction notice, the runaway living under a bridge, the homeless standing beside the highway with sign in hand, the lonely child who longs for an absent parent… Empower us by Your spirit, Jesus, to restore the brokenhearted.

Our prayer focus for Faith, Hope and Love Week is taken from Isaiah 61:1-2:
July 24, 2007 “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.”
Father, You have said that the poor we will always have among us. We are all poor in different ways - some financially, some spiritually, some relationally, some emotionally, some morally. The “ways” may be different but the answer is the same. Help us carry Your good news to every kind of poverty we encounter.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Merlin Gonzales was a different person when he returned from a 2002 mission trip to Costa Rica with Vineyard Community Church in Castleton.
Something about the selflessness of the missionaries and the synergy they produced through their work thrilled the outreach pastor, and he found himself pouncing on every mission trip the church offered.
July 21, 2007 “[For I always pray to] the God of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into the mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him.” Ephesians 1:17
Jesus, we worship you today for the ministry of the prayer trailer. We praise you for the way that You have provided this incredible facility. We pray for protection as it travels to various parts the city. We believe this ministry will be powerful. I heard Governor Daniels say that if anyone has a better way, then let him know. Governor….. here is a better way. Our wonderful state of Indiana is in a financial crisis even though our budget is showing a huge surplus right now. Everyone is crying about high property taxes, high crime, loss of jobs, bankruptcies, foreclosures, etc. and yet no one has the nerve to address the real issue at hand and especially our Governor, Mayor and state legislators. In our state constitution it says “We the people of the state of Indiana are grateful to ALMIGHTY GOD…” I didn’t capitalize ALMIGHTY GOD it’s in there like that, look it up. We have a God problem! We have made the lottery, off track horse racing, riverboat gambling and now slot machines our God and put the budget on the back of the poor. Because we have turned our back on the Lord and chosen gambling as the way to fund our state’s budget, the Lord has removed His hand of blessing on this great state. Do Hoosiers know that Indiana is the third highest state in gambling revenue behind Nevada and New Jersey?
The Bible says, “ Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” It also says, “He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker.” Instead of trusting in God as our forefathers who wrote the constitution told us to do, we have put our faith in gambling. No one will touch this sacred cow and we will constantly be trying to put band-aids on the real problem. I propose to Governor Daniels that instead of abolishing property taxes or increasing income and sales tax, we simply follow the guidelines outlined for us in God’s Word. The Lord says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” We need to abolish gambling from Indiana. The truth is we are just like the Old Testament Israelites and we have traded the Lord for a sacred cow called gambling and until someone has the nerve to address the real issue, we will continue in this downward spiral socially and economically.
Proverbs 14:34 says”Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” I think that Governor Daniels, Mayor Peterson and the men and women of our legislature are good and have good intentions; however, until we fix our state’s God problem, all the good intentions in the world aren’t going to solve the problem. Haggai 1:6&7 says, “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!” We have to get back to the intentions of the founders of this state when they penned our states Constitution and said trust in ALMIGHTY GOD!
Someone should talk to Coach Dungy about how to put God first, then Indiana will be a winner again and not just our Colts.
July 20, 2007 "If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness and your night will become like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10Father, it's a pleasure to do your works. You love the poor and the needy. Our hearts come alive when we align ourselves with your purposes. Like Jesus, we want to say what we hear You say, do what we see You doing. Help us to satisfy the needs of the oppressed so Your light and glory can shine forth.
July 19, 2007 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost.” Isaiah 55:1 (Amplified Bible)
Father, we long for You and we accept Your invitation to come just as we are, poor and parched for Your living water. Help us to drink deeply of Your purpose and passion for the lost. It’s our desire to offer this living stream to all that are thirsty in Indianapolis.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
July 18, 2007 “But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified Bible)
Father, our words are so powerful – both for blessing and cursing. We declare blessing over the city of Indianapolis with our words. We bless our leaders, churches, local governments, institutions, the marketplace, entertainment, sports – simply all aspects and every dimension of our city. Father, let Your kingdom come!
Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you. Luke 11:34-36 NIV
July 17, 2007 “Then Your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.” Isaiah 58:8b
Father, in Your word we hear stories of people just like us that were protected as they ministered in Your name. We thank you for the protection You are going to provide for us. Please go before us and prepare the hearts and minds of the people of Indianapolis as they encounter the volunteers of Faith, Hope and Love.
"He filled in as a temporary anchor on WISH-TV 8 in the early 1980s. These days John Samples is a temporary minister to homeless young people. Samples' new assignment, with Outreach Inc., is pretty far from the limelight he enjoyed in the 1980s, as a high-profile television anchor and press secretary to Mayor Bill Hudnut. Now he's subbing for Outreach founder and executive directory Eric Howard so Howard can take a summer sabbatical."
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Matthew 7:15-20 NIV
Response has been great for the first 'Urban Projects Day'(Tues, July 24th) as a part of the 'Faith Hope & Love' week. We have quite a number of great projects planned for that day, and volunteers anxious to make a difference.
The $10 volunteers' registration fee includes a 2007 t-shirt. But we'd really like to do even better than that for our inner-city friends who are also volunteering that day. We've had some people commit to subsidize some shirts for them too. Can you help like this? If so, contact Merlin Gonzales. And thank you!
July 16, 2007 “But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!” II Corinthians 12:9 (Amplified Bible)
Father, we thank You that our weaknesses and inadequacies don’t disqualify us from being a part of the ministry of Faith, Hope and Love. All over the city You are calling men and women who have been redeemed to extend the message of redemption to everyone we meet.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. Psalms 139:7-8 NIV
July 15, 2007 “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given unto you.” John 15:7
Lord Jesus, we pray that You would give us your heart for Indianapolis. We want your mind, your heart. Our desire is to remain in You. During Faith, Hope and Love week give us faith to believe for miracles. We accept the invitation to ask and receive from You. Lord, let your kingdom come.

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4 NIV
July 14, 2007 “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
There are so many voices and distractions that pull our focus away from You. Lord, today, we set our eyes on You. We are reminded of the price You paid, enduring unimaginable pain and suffering. We will not grow weary and lose heart. We will trust in You.
July 13, 2007 “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed.” II Corinthians 4:7-9
Lord, life is hard sometimes. Yet Your presence makes it so bearable. We are so blessed to have such an amazing God that brings meaning out of meaninglessness, joy out of pain, and hope out of despair. Empower us today with Your presence.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road thatleads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14 NIV
Famed for winning this year’s Super Bowl XLI “the Lord’s way,” Coach Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts unveiled his personal memoir on Tuesday, revealing the deep faith behind his life.
Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21 NIV
July 12, 2007 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9

[IndyChristian Ed. Note: I really hated to see this, much less have to post it here. After all, we have a number of Catholic friends who are Bible-believing, born-again Christ-followers. Apparently the pope's stated position does not well-represent these Catholic friends. But like any denomination, the Catholic church has a wide spectrum of individual churches and practical theologies. It may be his position and he may have some followers who buy into such a position, but I suspect the vast majority of Catholics do NOT assent to this stated position -- it'll be interesting to see. All this being said though, this is news today... that despite inroads made during John Paul's tenure, the current pope clings to the historical position of the Catholic church that they alone have Christ's attention and the value of his atonement now rests in their hands to dispense as they please.]
From World Net Daily...
Pope Benedict XVI has ignited controversy across the world by approving a document saying non-Catholic Christian communities are either defective or not true churches, and the Roman Catholic Church provides the only true path to salvation.

Lord, we will respond this week to the needs of the oppressed and poor that You have placed here among us. Give us Your anointing and discernment as we serve those You love so much.

The Unleavened Bread Cafe will be one such location as host to several 'projects'. We've started a wiki-page for all of us to use centrally to collaborate & coordinate these efforts of faith. Take a look... and see what YOU can help with...
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17:1-3 NIV
July 10, 2007 “Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep.” Psalm 36: 5-6
Lord, there are so many in our city that have been battered by injustice. Many feel hopeless and alone. Remember their cause and their struggles - bring justice into their individual situations. We lift each of them to you today.
Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORDand honored his name. "They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him." Malachi 3:16-17 NIV
July 9, 2007 “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9, 10
Lord Jesus, You love the oppressed and are a place of safety for those who are in trouble. It’s so great to know that You will go with us as we serve all parts of the city.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
Lord, we ask today that you would give us a passion for religion that You accept. Show us ways to minister to those who have been abandoned in our city. Give us the same love that compelled Jesus to come and minister to the least of these.
"INDEPENDENCE ISN'T THE GOAL. My goal is not simply to become or be independent or self-sufficient. Often portrayed as the ultimate goal of freedom, democracy and a capitalist economy, independence is a means to an end, not the end itself. That is the myth of rugged individualism."
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8 NIV
Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord," and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete. Luke 6:46-49 NIV
July 7, 2007 “And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another (readily and freely), as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 Father God, as we prepare to serve others in Your name, help us show everyone we meet the character of Jesus through our words and actions.

Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 NIV

July 5, 2007 “For what great nation is there who has a god so near to them as the Lord our God is to us in all things for which we call upon Him?” Deuteronomy 4:7
Father God, we recognize that the greatness of our nation is not due to our works but only because of Your kindness, grace and favor. We are blessed because You are the giver of every blessing. We call upon You for renewal and restoration.
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:2 NIV
On July 4, in a thousand hamlets, loyal Americans will march in parades as millions of their fellow citizens watch with pride. The passing of the Stars and Stripes will cause many backbones to stiffen and bring smart salutes from the military as well as the placing of hand over heart by those who pledge again their allegiance to "one nation under God."
While I was in 6th Grade back in the Philippines, there was a class bully that had made my life miserable for more than a year. Month after month, he would try to lead me and several other boys. Many times, he led us to fight other groups of boys in our High School. He would order me around and he would make me listen to him and follow him around. He was the leader of our class, he was not bright, but he was big, stocky and has a commanding voice.
He reminded me of Goliath in the Book of 1 Samuel:17:4…50, A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall. He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels; on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. His spear shaft was like a weaver's rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him. David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him."
Saul replied, "You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth."
But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them. "I cannot go in these," he said to Saul, "because I am not used to them." So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.
Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David. He looked David over and saw that he was only a boy, ruddy and handsome, and he despised him. He said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. "Come here," he said, "and I'll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!"
David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."
As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.”
The Mark of a Leader:
-Take action. David fought the giant with confidence and zeal. He demonstrated his faith in action. -Take the risk with Godly perspective. David said that he will cut off Goliath’s head even though he did not have a sword when he faced his enemy. All he had was a sling stone. -Be a humble leader. David recognized and gave the credit to God. -Submit to authority. David asked King Saul’s permission before he launched on his mission.
As I look at David’s experience during his duel with Goliath, he obeyed God and proceeded on the mission. He did not have a grand plan and did not try figure out the details due the urgency of the situation. At times, we as leaders need to build the bridge while we walk on it.
July 4, 2007 “If my people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked way, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”- 2 Chronicles 7:14
Let that be our passion, O God. Let that be our cry - to see our city and our nation restored to You. Forgive our sins and heal our land, O God. Give us grace to humble ourselves and seek Your face in repentance and obedience. Please heal our land.
[IndyChristian Ed Note: Veritas Rex is an excellent new blog here in Indiana, sponsored by Indiana Family Institute. Gotta love this new addition to the Hoosier blogosphere, especially with such a great objective.... "So we initiate this blog as an honest, honorable effort to advance the discussion and bring a Biblical world view to the challenges and opportunities before the Hoosier State, which we dearly love."]
"“Veritas Rex” loosely translated means “Truth is King.” Believing in absolute Truth is often viewed with skepticism. Truth is commonly seen as relative. Therefore, stating that Truth is King could be considered revolutionary in the age in which we live. The significance of this name for IFI is rooted in the revolutionary work of a remarkable Scot named Samuel Rutherford (c. 1600-1660). In his seminal work, Rutherford took the ruling political ethic of the day – Rex Lex – or the King is Law -- and turned it literally upside down -- the Law is King, by which he meant (and so do we) God's Law.
This book, Lex Rex, was immediately branded as treason by the English Government and burned as he was placed under a death sentence..." [continued on Biography page at www.VeritasRex.com]
For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Psalms 95:3-7 NIV
July 3, 2007 “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” Romans 15:4
Let everyone who encounters the Faith, Hope and Love workers receive the hope of Christ. Where there is depression, replace it with hope. Where there is despair, let there be faith. Where there is brokenness, let there be love.
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people bothnow and forevermore. Psalms 125:1-2 NIV

"If
you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from
his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one
